Sun Mountain Rain Gear Chosen for the U.S. Presidents Cup Team

We are proud to announce that in 2009 and now again for 2011, Sun Mountain has been chosen as the official outerwear provider for The Presidents Cup United States Team. We spent a lot of time over the past year looking specifically at solutions to the weather protection needs of tournament golfers (and how that differs from the needs of the everyday, casual golfer). The resulting solution for The Presidents Cup is custom-designed rain gear constructed from an advanced, new four-way stretch woven fabric. The Presidents Cup 2011 team rain wear will include long and short sleeve rain jackets and rain pants that offer protection from wind and rain while being breathable and offering enough stretch to meet the flexibility needed for a golf swing. In addition to Sun Mountain rain suits, The Presidents Cup 2011 United States team will have waterproof bucket hats and two different styles of windproof jackets. Caddies’ outerwear will include short and long sleeve rain jackets, a windproof pullover and bucket hat. Players’ significant others will have options to include a rain suit, thermal jacket and vest, and a bucket hat. The technical breakdown of the Sun Mountain rain gear for The Presidents Cup is a woven fabric that offers four-way stretch, a fully waterproof/breathable microporous laminate, and a durable water repellant finish.
