Congratulations to LPGA Futures Tour player, Ashley Prange, along with her four amateur teammates, for winning the Sun Mountain Skills Summit finals. Sun Mountain awarded Prange $1,000 for her victory in the “Big Break-style” skills challenge. The four amateurs each won Sun Mountain RainFlex LT pullover ladies' waterproof golf jackets. “This is a fun contest to do for $1,000 and I’ve been wearing Sun Mountain rain gear and carrying their (women’s golf stand) bag all year anyway,” said Prange, who won the Golf Channel’s “2006 “Big Break V: Hawaii”. In the finals, each of the pros teamed up with four amateurs to compete for points in skills challenges. The skills challenges included a bunker shot, a long chip, an over-the-wall chip to a flagstick for points on a target green, and a 75-yard pitch. The final skills challenge teamed one amateur from each team with the pro for a putting competition. Prange competed in the Sun Mountain Skill Summit against fellow LPGA Futures Tour pros Brittany Johnston, Amy Eneroth, and Benedikte Grotvedt who each advanced to the finals from the initial field of 20 contestants.
